We will examine where you want to go and the obstacles standing in your way. We will explore political, cultural, and family influences that may be difficult to discuss in other settings. The ultimate objective is to build a life so full that the desire for drugs and alcohol is no longer meaningful.
The Current: Group Therapy for Femme Creatives
Femme Creative Group
Your artistic life decisions do not have to be made in a vacuum.
This group is a place for creatives who identify as female to share their experience, to receive comfort & context, and to find inspiration in community. Together we'll navigate the personal and emotional challenges of the creative life.

Group Therapy for Men
Men's experiences
Right now, voicing an honest opinion in public forums can be a fraught experience for a man.
This group is a space for men to speak openly about the conflicting expectations they face and explore ideas that are often silenced before they are fully formed. Through honest conversation, participants can work toward showing up in their lives with deeper respect for others and themselves.

Who leads these groups
Rick Paladino, AMFT
People are usually wiser than they'll admit, but the oppressive stories that surround our problems separate us from that knowledge. They can leave us feeling stuck and alone. Together, we will rewrite these stories. The process can be challenging but usually reveals that the skills and connection we seek are there for the taking.
I specialize in couples work, substance use recovery (group & individual) and energizing the creative process for artists of any kind:
Couples don't fight unless their love is worth fighting for. That love can be lost in the mix of modern life. We blame ourselves and each other. But when we team up against problems a brand-new experience is possible.
My clinical knowledge and personal experience in recovery give me respect for addiction but deeper respect for those who face it. Facing those challenges alone isn’t necessary. Working one-on-one with clients or in a group, I have seen that when we walk together into the unknown there is almost always a more meaningful life on the other side.
Cultivating creativity in the face of the current distraction matrix is a daunting task. Together we can reclaim the status as creator/protagonists of our own stories. This character is someone we can root for because we understand their motivation and values so clearly that we know exactly where they should go in the next chapter.
